The challenge
|
We had to build a bot capable of picking up and moving balls from one area to another across a short fence.
|
Input factors
|
To start making this bot we needed to have a general understanding of how to build an arm capable of picking up an object.
|
Prototypes
Programing
|
We did not use a program for this bot. Instead, we used a remote control program.
|
Final output
The final bot we built is a bot with an arm that can pick up a ball and move it a over obstacle, in this case a wall, and then put it back down. The bot also has small skids in the front near the wheels to prevent the bot from tipping forward and being unable to right itself.
Feedback
We received a suggestion from out teacher on how to pick up the ball quicker which lead to our final robot prototype.
What I learned
I learned how to better build a robotic arm meant to pick up object and transport them.
What I would do differently
There is not anything I would do differently.
